Whitianga’s inaugural Festival of speed in April 2009 was a resounding success. Congratulatory messages and enquiries for involvement in the 2010 event have been flooding in.

What started out as one of a series for the NZ Offshore Power Boat Association has now grown into a full blown marine, aircraft, car and motorcycle two day extravaganza.

Dates for the 2010 Whitianga Festival of speed have been confirmed for the weekend of April 10 & 11.

The only complaint seems to be that there was so much to see, it was not possible to take it all in. What a complaint! Our response has been “come back again in 2010 because it will be even bigger.”

The Thundercats take to the beach on the 10th April and promise to put on a spectacular day of racing.
