The next WGTN race day is 20 March 2010 at Riversdale (formally Castle Point). Evidently there will be a horse race on Castle Point the same day as we wanted to race so our permit was declined…I didn’t even know horses could drive boats.

Teams wishing to race must have entry forms submitted by Monday 15th March 2010. After this date entries will only be accepted at TRANZ and the Race Directors discretion. Late entries will incur a $50 penalty fee. Entry fee for those that do not hold a season pass is $60 per boat plus $30per person for a day license if you do not hold and A-Grade license. If you hold a season pass and wish to enter please email Michelle by Monday 15th March 2010 to confirm your entry.

All teams should be in the surf club car park ready for scrutineering and beach set up at 9am. No boats are to enter the beach or water with permission from the RD. Racing will commence at 11am.

Accommodation: We will be booking a Bach on Fri and Sat which all crews and supporters are welcome to stay at for roughly $15 - $20 a night per person. Please let Michelle know if you are interested before this Friday.

Prize Giving: TBC, either at the bach or on the beach. BBQ and beers provided courtesy of TRANZ

Other Activities: The permit has been granted to lift the speed restriction until 5pm so weather permitting the RD will open the course up to competitors until 5pm for general use once racing finishes. Those wanting to take rides or train etc will be free to do so. This is a beautiful location and I recommend you bring your wakeboards, fishing gear or whatever to take advantage of the day.
