BLACKPEPPER

Driver: Scott Radley
Co-driver: Cam Vernon
Country: New Zealand
Sponsored by: Blackpepper (Visit website)

2008/2009 was the first season racing for Blackpepper. It's been an action packed one, with a rapid improvement over the 6 race summer series, almost breaking into the top 3 in the final round at Piha. Managing to keep the boat upright for the entire surf cross series and taking out the rookie title was definitely a hightlight, but flipping 5km from the finish of the 180km King of the Cape surf haul would have to be the lowlight of the season (mind you, we did have the wife in the bow). The boat is a brand new Ceasar F8 powered by a racing built yamaha engine.

Scott Radley

Scott is an ex-pro windsurfer who represented New Zealand in Olympic Class racing. This is his second season racing Thundercats and he is ready for some good results after taking our rookie of the year last year.

Cam Vernon

Cam had his first taste of thundercat racing at the the 2009 Trans Tasman challenge in Australia. Speed is in his bones, so was snapped up pretty quickly as a new co-pilot for Blackpepper's 2009/2010 season. He has huge motivation for the being the best and has been a great new addition for Blackpepper racing.
