Race Day Summaries

SUMMARY

Despite all day light drizzle and surf comprising a 1 foot shore break, 13 Boats enjoyed a good social day of competitive flat water racing.

Winner of the day was the super lightweight crew in Smuggler followed by Jungle Coffee and the dark horse for this year 02 MOVE.

Other standouts were PBS who finished the day without breaking down and Black pepper who would have a podium finish if it were not for disqualification in race 1 after parking through the finish line despite leading the entire race
(lesson hopefully learnt).

Other lessons learnt in the small surf were rookies Mike Knightbridge and copilot who now know how to reinstate their motor after submersion and Incon Automation whose Pilot needs to remember to hang on to avoid swimming.

The day finished with prizegiving and a BBQ in the carpark. Thanks again to race director Gary and assistant Dave (From Monsoon) , new race secretary Sandi and her team of scorers plus Ester for taking the photos.
